<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for solving problems of dye stain due to incomplete removal of a contrast dye in the coating of a heat sensitive lithographic printing plate precursor during processing the precursor by using an aqueous alkaline developer. <P>SOLUTION: The heat sensitive lithographic printing plate precursor comprises a polymer which is soluble in an alkaline aqueous solution and which comprises at least one chromophoric moiety having a light absorption maximum in the wavelength range from 400 nm to 780 nm. The obtained material shows no dye stain after processing in the area where the coating has been removed by an alkaline developer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
