<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device capable of stably feeding developer to a developer carrier while restraining the deterioration of the developer to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: This developing device A is equipped with developing sleeves (developer carrier) 11 to 13 carrying the developer on its surface, the sleeves 11 to 13 are arranged in contact with or proximately to the image carrier, and a latent image is developed by supplying the developer to the latent image on the image carrier by rotating the sleeves 11 to 13. A fan (means for convecting air) 17 is provided in the same container as a part where development is performed, then the developer is stirred and fed to be supplied to a developing part by the flow of air generated by the fan 17. Since the developer is moved only by the air, the deterioration of the developer is restrained to the minimum. The developer is stably fed to the sleeves 11 to 13 by setting the flow of air toward the sleeves 11 to 13 whatever positions the sleeves 11 to 13 are located at. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
