<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for controlling an automobile, by which feeling of speed changing is improved, and synchronization of rotational speed is quickly performed. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for controlling the automobile includes an engine 1 which is a source of driving force, and friction clutches 203, 204 and positive clutches 19, 20 and 21 arranged between an input shaft and an output shaft of a transmission. A power train control unit 100 estimates or detects input torque inputted to the transmission, detects the number of rotations of the output shaft, sets target speed changing torque during speed changing, and controls the torque of the output shaft and the number of rotations of the transmission to be inputted during speed changing by setting a command to the friction clutches 203, 204 based on the target speed changing torque and the input torque. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
