PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle voice recognition device which inhibits dictation during a travel of an automobile as an on-vehicle voice recognition device having a dictation function by voice recognition and a control function for equipment. SOLUTION: The on-vehicle voice recognition device having the dictation function by voice recognition and the control function for the equipment inputs a signal 8 indicating whether the automobile is traveling, and does not select the dictation function when the signal 8 indicates that the automobile is traveling, but selects a specified function between the dictation function and control function for the equipment 5 when the signal indicates that the automobile is not traveling.
