PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce copper loss by shortening the circumferential length of coil inserted into a stator. SOLUTION: First to fourth cams 37a-37d form steps by driving first to fourth movable frames 32a-32d, by constituting a movable winding frame 32 of a winding frame comprising a stationary winding frame 31 and the movable winding frame 32 with the first to the fourth movable frames 32a-32d, and by rotating 90 degrees a cum shaft 36. Coils are inserted into slots of the stator 1 mounted on the upper part, by placing at each winding first to fifth round coils having different circumferential lengthes on a coil insertion jig 40, which is wound by lowering the winding frame 30 while allowing a flyer 24 spiralling, and by raising a stripper 43. With such an arrangement, the first round coil whose circumferential length is longer is inserted inside, the fifth round coil whose coil length is shorter is inserted inside, and the total coil length can be shortened.
