PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize dynamic range, and to miniaturize each light receiving cell and to reduce a noise in a two-dimensional solid-state imaging device that is subjected to color filter arrangement on each light receiving cell. SOLUTION: A color filter having R, G, and B components is arranged each at a light receiving section where a photodiode for forming a pixel is mutually shifted for arrangement. The transfer gate (GATE) of an R pixel is connected to a vertical transfer electrode V1 of a vertical transfer path (VCCD). The transfer gate of a G pixel is connected to a vertical transfer electrode V3. The transfer gate of a B pixel is connected to a vertical transfer electrode V2. Vertical drive pulses V1 to V4 are supplied to the electrodes V1 to V4 for drive. Based on an imaged image signal, a photodiode read pulse is applied to the vertical transfer electrode for each color component at different timing for each color component. From the start of charge accumulation, signal charge generated in the photodiode (PD) is independently shifted to the vertical transfer path via the transfer gate corresponding to exposure time for each color component.
