PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a program recording apparatus and method, and a program receiver that can prevent a user from not notifying the presence of a program automatically recorded and missing it by informing the user about the presence of a newly automatically recorded program. SOLUTION: A management section 15 collates reservation information entered from an entry section 14 and stored in a reservation information storage section 16 with attribute information received by a reception section 12 and stored in an attribute information storage section 13 in advance, automatically searches a program being a video recording object and records the program onto a recording medium 19.
