PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage subsystem having a communication path selection method considering characteristics of a memory region in the storage subsystem, characteristics of an access from a host and characteristics of a communication path, furthermore, a storage subsystem having a function of instructing adding, erasing and switching of the communication path in accordance with a circumstance by observing a condition of the communication path. SOLUTION: A NIC selection processing function, a NIC information transmitting/receiving function, a communication path switching function, a NIC selection information, and a lookup table of a memory region group and a communication path group are provided on a storage subsystem control processing apparatus.
