PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce heat transfer from a heat exchanger to a liquid receiver and to maintain a vibration-resistant strength of a coupling part. SOLUTION: Partition walls 11 and 12 are arranged in an intermediate portion and a lower end side portion of one header pipe 1 to form a first passage, a second passage and a third passage in a heat exchanger body 10, and a coupling member 5 for coupling the header pipe 1 with a liquid receiver body 20 is joined to a common region of the second and third passages in the header pipe 1. A relation between a joining area A of the header pipe 1 and the coupling member 5, and moment M acting on unjoined portions of the receiver body is set to be A/M>0.07. This reduces heat transfer from the heat exchanger body 10 to the receiver body 20 and maintains a vibration-resistant strength of the coupling part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
