<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance reservation method for a system of supporting vehicle maintenance, which informs a vehicle maintenance shop schedule to fit vehicle data including a self diagnosis obtained from the vehicle, to vehicle users when shops for the vehicle maintenance are introduced for reservations. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle 2 transmits results of self diagnosis done by sensors and controllers on the vehicles 2 as requesting items for maintenance with the vehicle user's address and name from the vehicle 2 to an information center 1. The information center 1 retrieves maintenance schedules for vehicle maintenance shops, which are registered via sales shop terminals 3-1 to 3-n, based on the received requesting items for maintenance, and transmits data for a plurality of the maintenance shops responding to the data of the requesting items for maintenance with option data of each maintenance shop to the vehicle 2. The vehicle 2 transmits data for requesting reservation to the information center 1 after the user selects the maintenance shop he or she wants. The information center 1 reserves the maintenance shop requested by the user for the vehicle maintenance by transmitting maintenance conditions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
