<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute pixels which are made suitable for constant current driving in an active matrix type EL display device. <P>SOLUTION: The pixel is provided with a first switch whose one end is connected to a source signal line and the other end is connected to a current voltage converting element, a second switch, whose one end is connected to the current voltage converting element and the other end is connected to a voltage holding means and a voltage current converting element, and a pixel electrode which is connected to the current voltage converting element and the voltage current converting element. Having provided a current voltage converting circuit, a voltage current converting circuit and the holding means, good display having less amount of irregularity is obtained. Moreover, the display device having a smaller number of manufacturing processes is realized by using a unipolar, especially an N type thin film transistor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
