<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the installation work of an integral air conditioner wherein an indoor side heat exchange unit and an outdoor side heat exchange unit are contained in a single housing. <P>SOLUTION: This air conditioner 1 comprises the housing 10 and a cooling and heating unit 50. The cooling and heating unit 50 including the indoor side heat exchange unit 70 and the outdoor side heat exchange unit 120 can be taken in and out to and from the housing 10, with the housing 10 being connected to an air conditioning duct 6. Three panels excluding a back panel 14 faced to a wall, among four panels forming our sides of the housing 10, that is, a front panel 13, a left panel 15 and a right panel 16 can be independently removed from the housing 10.
