PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress particles for electrophoresis consisting of cross-linked polymer fine particles from sticking onto wall surfaces thereof. SOLUTION: Oxygen atoms or nitrogen atoms on the surface of the particle for electrophoresis are chemically bonded to protective groups. Or the protective groups are chemically substituted for at least a portion of active hydrogen atoms on the surface of the particle.
