PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for predicting degradation of storage battery, superior in reliability and capable of highly accurately predicting the progress of degradation of a storage battery with regard to changes in the temperature of the storage battery and charges and discharges of the storage battery. SOLUTION: An arithmetic expression (4) expressing the state of degradation of the capacity of the storage battery with the passage of time with the presence times of the temperature T of the storage battery in a plurality of temperature ranges as parameters is previously obtained. From predicted changes in the temperature of the storage battery with the passage of time, the presence time of the temperature T of the storage battery in each temperature range is grasped. By substituting the presence time of the temperature T of the storage battery in each temperature range in the arithmetic expression (4), the state of degradation of the storage battery is predicted.
