PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire information system and a method using ISDN-D channel regular connection, a connector and a control method for the connector with which a fire can be comparatively economically detected and reported without requiring a complicated procedure such as a contract. SOLUTION: A connector 2 is provided while being connected to an exchange 6 having a D channel regular connection function for an ISDN line in the state of regular connection to the D channel of the ISDN line 5, a fire sensor 1 provided at a fire monitoring place in home or the like is connected to the connector 2 and when the occurrence of fire is detected by the fire sensor 1 and the fire occurrence information is received by the connector 2, such fire occurrence information is transmitted and reported through a TA 3, a DSU 4, the D channel of the ISDN line 5, the exchange 6 and an IP network 7 to a portable telephone 8, a fixed telephone 9, and a PC terminal 10 or the like as prescribed report places.
