The ventilation installation for positioning in a wall has a housing (1) in which a ventilation channel (19) extends from an inlet aperture (26) in the outside (2) of the housing to an outlet aperture (27) in the inside (5) of the housing. The lowermost wall (16) of the inlet channel (19a) runs in at least a continuous curve and the uppermost wall (21) of the inlet channel runs in accordance with at least two successive continuous curves (21a,21b). The successive continuous curves are connected to each other by at least one bend (21c) in such a way that the second curve is further apart from the lowermost wall of the inlet channel than the virtual extension of the first curve.
