<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display which uses an electroluminescent element and is thinner than before. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a substrate (10), an electroluminescent element (30) provided on the substrate, and a protecting film (50) which covers the electroluminescent element. The protective film is a synthetic resin film of chemical reaction setting type of, for example, epoxy, urethan, acrylic, vinyl, or silicon. The protecting film comprises a first protecting film that covers the electroluminescent element, and a second protecting film that covers the first protecting film. The water absorption of the second protecting film is higher than that of the first protective film, otherwise, the elasticity or hardness of the second protecting film is higher than that of the first protecting film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
