<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design supporting system which efficiently performs structure design of various products having different parts and attributes, is inexpensive and can possess general versatility. <P>SOLUTION: The system is comprised of an ASP which provides a structure design program 1 comprised of a definition of restriction 2 defining a restriction for the attributes of the product and the parts in mathematical expressions or comparison forms; and a problem-solving algorithm (inference/search engine) 3 which infers the design solution of the product cooperatively with the definition of the restriction 2, and which uses a problem expression of data on product structure information of the part names, the number of the parts, the attribute value of the product and the like, data on a possible attribute value of each part, data on restriction information for the attribute of the part based on the definition of the restriction and the like which a user inputs through the Internet in order to seek a design solution, and outputs the design solution to the user side client. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
