PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescence cell where light emission from a light emitting layer is not cut by a circular polarization plate or the like, even in the case of utilizing the circular polarization plate or the like to prevent reflection of outer light and improve contrast or the like, and having high luminance and high contrast improved in light utilization efficiency. SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescence cell has the light emitting layer 11 sandwiched between an anode 13 and a cathode 12 and the like, the light emitting layer 11 or the like having a twisted structure to circularly polarize the light emission from the light emitting layer 11, and the circular polarization plate 23 installed outside the organic electroluminescence cell to realize high luminance and high contrast.
