PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in the processing time at the minimum for an error correction decoding device conducting turbo-decoding and realize reduction in the circuit scale. SOLUTION: The error correction decoding device employs a configuration equipped with probability calculation units 305-1 to 8 for calculating a forward probability, a backward probability, and reliability information using data selected by a selecting unit 304 from data held in register files 303-1 to 8, where a first stage result of a first backward probability, a second backward probability, a forward probability, and reliability information as well as a second stage result of reliability information are held. According to this configuration, since pipeline processing can be done at a same probability calculation unit in calculation for a forward probability, a backward probability, and reliability information, the calculation for a forward probability, a backward probability, and reliability information can be conducted at the same calculation circuit, and can suppress increase at the minimum in the processing time required for calculation of each value.
