PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind direction changing device having satisfactory operability in rotating operation of a wind direction changing plate element without enlargement. SOLUTION: A base shaft 36 having a second transmitting pinion gear 44 at one end and an orthogonal shaft 37 in the center is rotatably supported in a partitioning part for vertically halving the outlet port of a blowing duct. An operation knob 33 is supported on the orthogonal shaft 37 of the base shaft 36 so as to be rotatable around the axis of the orthogonal shaft 37. The first transmitting pinion gear 39 of the operation knob 33 is meshed with the first transmitting rack gear 31 of a reciprocating member 40, and the first fin-side pinion gear 42 of a vertical fin 31 is meshed with the first connecting rack gear 43 of the reciprocating member 40. The second transmitting pinion gear 44 is meshed with the second connecting rack gear 46 of a connecting lever 45, and the second fin-side pinion gear 47 of a horizontal fin 32 is meshed with the second connecting rack gear 48 of the connecting lever 45.
