PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cornice prevention structural body for preventing the formation of a cornice in a building having a flat roof of a wooden house or the like of a building and a flat roof structure in a snowfall area. SOLUTION: The cornice prevention structural body set on the building connecting an approximately vertical wall surface 3 to the flat roof 2 comprises a cornice prevention plate 12 forming the whole surface in a porous shape and a supporting body 15 instructing the cornice prevention plate on the flat roof in a state parallel with the approximately same surface as that of the wall surface, the cornice prevention plate 12 is constituted by stretching a wire netting 14 on a frame body 13 or as a metal-made porous plate, and the cornice prevention plate sets a space S to the flat roof in less than 50 mm, if desirable.
