PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant polyester resin composition containing substantially no halogen, enabling it to achieve easily V-2 level of the UL-94 standard and also to achieve easily the V-0 level when the conditions are advantageous. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant resin composition composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a resin component containing at least 60 wt.% of an aromatic polyester resin (A component), (B) 1-100 pts.wt. of an organophosphorus compound having an acid value of≤0.7 mgKOH/g and specific in being represented by formula (1-a) (B-1 component), (C) 0-50 pts.wt. of a flame retardancy-improved resin (C component) and (D) 0-200 pts.wt. of a filler (D component), and the molded article obtained from the composition are provided.
