<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hammer shank which can be changed in rigidity at a reduced cost. <P>SOLUTION: A cavity 71d of a circular shape in section is formed in a body portion 71 of the hammer shank 70 from its rear end 71c toward a front end 71b. A core material 73 of approximately the same shape is inserted into the cavity 71d. The core material 73 is made freely insertable and removable into and from the cavity 71d. The rigidity of the hammer shank can thus be changed at the reduced cost by using the core material 73 consisting of suitable materials (for example, wood, aluminum, iron, copper and brass). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
