<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver that can automatically update data. <P>SOLUTION: A tuner 2 extracts a digital broadcast wave of a selected channel and demodulates the wave to output a transport stream. A demultiplexer 3 acquires various data from the transport stream. When a preset execution timing arrives (e.g. at 4:00 a.m. every Thursday), a CPU 13 executes channel search processing, acquires channel information included in the digital broadcast wave and executes a process such as storing channel information of a new channel to a nonvolatile memory 14 when finding out the new channel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
