PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle positioning device movable in a long distance and having high precision. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a magnet 2, a yoke 3, and a needle placed in a gap 7. The magnetic flux density of the gap 7 is changed in the axial direction. The needle is integrated by layering two coils 5, 6 in the axial direction. Currents are applied to both the coils 5, 6 so that electromagnetic forces work to pull the coils and move the needle to a position where the two electromagnetic forces are balanced.
