PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a thermal influence applied to an intake manifold by an EGR valve and to cool the EGR valve without providing a special cooling means. SOLUTION: A water passage 3, mutually connecting water jackets 1, 1 of a front/rear bank FB, RB in a transversely installed V-type engine E, is provided as a separate unit from an intake manifold M, and an EGR valve 9 is supported to a valve mounting seat 32 provided in front of the water passage 3. A passage for cooling water circulation and a gas passage for EGR gas circulation are formed mutually adjacent in the water passage 3, and the EGR valve 9 is cooled by cooling air passing in a fan opening part 10 of a radiator R and cooling water flowing in the water passage.
