<p>Antibiotics FKI-0739 represented by the following general formula [I] are produced by culturing in a medium a microorganism belonging to the class Hyphomycetes and being capable of producing the antibiotics FKI-0739, thereby accumulating the antibiotics FKI-0739 in the culture medium and then collecting antibiotics FKI-0739 therefrom: [I] wherein R represents hydrogen or hydroxy. Because of having effects of inhibiting the growth of microorganisms and arthropods, the antibiotics FKI-0739 thus obtained are useful as antibacterial agents or insecticides.</p> |
