Reception- or transmission/reception-device (14) is arranged to receive, via a transmission channel especially a given frequency-band, modulated transmission signals (3) from a transmission- or an additional transmission/reception-device (15). For estimating the respective prevailing noise-scenario, a value (rho<2>N,O) representing the interference power of the transmission channel is ascertained and this value is compared with several comparison-interference power values, respectively with one certain assigned comparison-interference power value (rho<2>I,O) assigned from several comparison scenarios.
