METHOD FOR BREAKING DOWN LOPARITE CONCENTRATE

The invention relates to the hydro-metallurgical processing of titanium-rear metal concentrates, more specifically to breaking down a loparite concentrate. The inventive method consists in hydrochloric acid leaching at atmospheric pressure, separating a fixed residue containing loparite and aegirine from a solution and rebreaking the loparite concentrate. The novelty of the invention lies in that the concentrate is broken down at a temperature equal to or higher than 100 DEG C, and the rebreak of the loparite concentrate is carried out in combination with aegirine. The inventive method makes it possible to break down more than 95 % of loparite and to simplify equipment, reduce acid and energy consumption and improve the ecological aspects of said process.
