<p>A system and a method for locking parked transportation means (e.g. - airplanes, moored ships, trucks etc.) (30), comprising means (50) for locking, which is physically engageable upon locking to a component (60) of the transportation means, and a wireless electronic seal (110) mounted on the locking means, and being integrative therein upon sealing. At least one wireless data reader (80, 82) located at a known point in relation to the site in which the wireless electronic seal is mounted, and intended to receive a transmission from the wireless electronic seal. A control center (100) is linked to the wireless data reader, for decoding and analyzing the transmissions received from the wireless electronic seal, and thereby providing indications on the wireless electronic seal being in proximity to the known point (where the wireless data reader is located), and on the locking status of the locking means.</p> |
