The present discloses a system for the remote operation or functioning of a device or artifact of personal hygiene, including a flush valve, a tap, a shower, a soap dispenser, a hand dryer and a paper towels dispenser, including an electric operator associated with each device or artifact to produce its operation or functioning. A radio-receptor associated with each device or artifact, which, when receiving a single message for such device or artifact will actuate its operation. There is a trigger device, remote from the device or artifact, which may be for instance an infrared sensor or a manually operated switch for sending a signal. There is a transmitter and a receptor associated with the trigger device. Each transmitter associated with the trigger device is programmed for transmitting a single message to that specific device or artifact. There is an indicator placed in each trigger device and a receptor associated with the indicator. When the trigger transmits a single message, t his is received in the device or artifact receptor that will produce the operation and that will provoke the device or artifact transmitter to send a confirmation message to the receptor of the trigger device which also will actuate the indicator indicating that the transmitted message was received.
