The present invention is directed to a dual wall cup assembly (10) suited fo r use in a promotional campaign, provided with an outer cup (11) having a sidewall (13) joined to a bottom wall (14) and provided with an open top (15 ); an inner cup (12) having a sidewall (16) joined to a bottom wall (17) and provided with an open top (38); the inner cup is configured to be receivable within the outer cup to create a sealed gap between the side walls of an inn er surface of the outer cup and an outer surface of the inner cup and between t he bottom walls of the outer and inner cups; and a promotional item positioned within the gap.
