The sofa bed is assembled of a swivel mounted back rest (5), a seat area (8, 9) to be pulled to the front, and a front part (10), hidden under the seat area (8), pulled to the front and lifted for the conversion of the sofa into a bed. The front part (10) is supported by a swivel mounted element (13) resting on the upper edge of the front cover (14) when the device is used as a bed. When the device is folded into a sofa the support element (13) is guided with its lower end along a curved guide rail (17) in order to be hidden behind the front cover (14). |
