The combined collar and hood, for a garment, has a hood with material zones to give at least one water-permeable and at least on waterproof zone, stowed away within an opening (2) in the collar (1). The waterproof material gives protective cover to the collar. The hood is formed from at least two different materials, with the waterproof material covering the collar and the neck and at least a part of the back of the head. The waterproof material repels water, and the permeable material allows breathing using cotton, a nonwoven and/or micro-fibers.
