The device for the pumping of seawater comprises a wave pump consisting of a pump pipe (2) with a suction opening (6), and a conical inlet connector (12) which by a float is held sealed under the surface of the water. The pump pipe is connected via an elastic connector (3) to a pressure pipe (4) which includes a check valve (8), and through the suction openings in the suction pipe (5) and the check valve draws seawater from the stilling basin which is in the form of a reservoir or protective wall on the coast.
