In a delivery recovery treatment, continuous−form paper (23) is moved from a first position where it can be positioned opposed to a head (21) to a second position (downward in the figure) that is a position for retraction when the delivery recovery treatment is effected. Subsequently, a delivery recovery treatment section (22) standing by in a third position (upward in the figure) different from the first position is moved to the first position and effects the delivery recovery treatment. Since there is no need to move the head (21) during the delivery recovery treatment, good positional reproducibility is obtained after the completion of the delivery recovery treatment.
