The container and thermal cover arrangement comprises a thermal cover (3) at least partially encompassing the container (2). The thermal cover or at least a part of it is fastened to the container in the region of the opening or mouth, or may be fastened in the base region. The thermal cover is detachably fastened to the container, and at least one element of the thermal cover, and preferably an upper section, is made in one piece with the container. A male thread may be provided at the container mouth for the screwing on of the cover or a part of it. Independent claims are included for a thermal cover for fastening to a container, and for a container which may be a drinking glass.
