SUPPRESSION OF VERTICAL CROSSTALK IN A PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

There is provided a method for reducing the probability of the occurrence of vertical crosstalk in a plasma display panel having a paired electrode configuration wherein sustain electrodes are arranged as pairs on the display panel. Each of pair of electrodes comprises a first electrode 7100 which is odd and a second electrode 710E which is one. The method involves enabling a first sustain electrode to produce an addressing discharge while disabling the second sustain electrode during the time in which said addressing discharge is being produced. A discharge is produced by application of a first voltage Ve. In order to disable the second electrode during discharge, the voltage difference between the second electrode 710E and the scan electrode 714n is reduced by application of an isolation voltage Viso.
