<p>There is described a keyboard, particularly of a type having a 3D surface such as an ergonomic keyboard. In order to avoid the difficulty of connecting the keys to the electronic circuitry associated with the keyboard, the keyboard includes a flexible printed circuit connection membrane (26) comprising a main section (27) and a plurality of fingers (28-33). The keys are mounted on the fingers (28-33) which in turn are attached to the chassis (10) of the keyboard. Connections to the keys are taken along the fingers, through the main section (27) of the membrane and to a connection section (not visible) at which connections are made to the associated electronic circuitry, mounted on a conventional printed circuit board.</p> |
