The invention concerns a musical instrument with free reeds stressed in vibration by an air stream generated by a reserve and capable of circulating from the reserve in two directions respectively called aspiration and expiration, the instrument comprising at least two sounding boxes (2, 3) mobile relative to each other in movements bringing them closer or spacing them apart, a series of free reeds mounted inside said sounding boxes, and a mechanism for actuating shutters whereof the opening and the closure enables to stress the reeds or not with the air stream, said mechanism including in particular actuating keys mounted on the mobile sounding boxes. The inventive instrument comprises means (5) for supporting and guiding the sounding boxes in their relative displacement with respect to each other along a specific trajectory. |
