PURPOSE: A method for fabricating a liquid crystal display is provided to form an overcoat film having strong adhesive strength against a transparent electrode to reduce the number of fabricating processes and improve the quality of the liquid crystal display. CONSTITUTION: Chrome or black pigment is deposited on a glass substrate(1) to form a black matrix(2), and red, green and blue color filters(3A,3B,3C) are formed on the glass substrate including the black matrix through photosensitive resin coating, soft baking, exposing and developing processes. A silicon oxide is deposited on the substrate using sputtering to form an overcoat film(4). A transparent electrode(5) is formed on the overcoat film using sputtering.
