The wheel fixing for a shopping trolley having a lower frame with two horizontal bars (21, 22) welded to vertical spacers (23, 24) or uprights consists of a plate (30) with a double bend and a fastening bolt (42) which retains the upper part (15) of the wheel shank (5) between the two uprights and pressed against the horizontal bars. The plate, which is made from cold formed metal, can have an upper horizontal rib to engage with an annular groove in the wheel shank to aid its retention.
