Method for measurement of the acoustic impedance (Z), especially of hollow chambers in which a measurement value is formed from the ratio of the excitation voltage (Ua) and the microphone voltage (Ub). To calibrate the system at least two known calibration impedances are used and the resulting over-determined twin linear equation system used to determine the two coefficients of the transfer matrix. Based on these values, the acoustic impedance can be determined. The invention also relates to a corresponding impedance measurement device with a loudspeaker, microphone and acoustic resistance and use of the method for measuring the acoustic impedance of hearing aids, etc. In the measurement device an acoustic impedance is placed in a connection channel linking the loudspeaker and microphone.
