The contour lines along which the web (9) is cut to form the floor boards are located outside the areas with the mineral particle-containing plastisol coating. A method for making plastic floor boards comprises cutting them out of a web of material made by coating a substrate (3) with a plastisol, allowing the plastisol to gel without completely polymerizing so that it adheres to the substrate, applying a second plastisol layer to pre-determined surface regions of the first plastisol layer, scattering mineral layers over the web surface so that they become stuck in the non-gelled tacky second plastisol layer, removing the particles from the gelled layer regions using e.g. a flow of air and heating the web in order to polymerize the plastisol material so that it becomes solid. The contour lines along which the web is cut to form the floor boards are not located in the areas in which the second plastisol layer is applied. An Independent claim is also included for a floor board made by this method, having a mineral particle-free border region. |
