There is described an undercarriage (1, 1') for a helicopter, having a supporting structure (6) connectable to the fuselage (4) of the helicopter, a wheel (7) suspended from the supporting structure (6), and a shock absorbing member (8) which has a bottom end portion (9) hinged to the wheel (7), and is interposed, in use, between the wheel (7) and the fuselage (4); the supporting structure (6) has an attachment (10) fixable to the fuselage (4), and a first and a second beam (12, 13) having first connecting portions (14, 15) hinged about a first axis (C) to each other and to a top end portion (16) of the shock absorbing member (8), and second connecting portions (17, 18) connected to separate portions of the attachment (10) in articulated manner and lower down with respect to the first connecting portions (14, 15). <IMAGE>
