PURPOSE: A polyester composition is provided, to improve the light fastness of a polyester containing an excess amount of titanium dioxide. CONSTITUTION: The titanium dioxide-containing polyester composition comprises 5,000 ppm or more of titanium dioxide; and a manganese compound represented by MnaXb, a cobalt compound represented by CocYd, an alkali metal compound represented by MeZf, and a phosphorus compound represented by PO(OR)g, wherein a, b, c, d, e, f and g are an integer of 1-3; X, Y and Z are an acetic acid group or a phosphoric acid group; M is an alkali metal; and R is an alkyl group or a phenyl group. Preferably the content of MnaXb, CocYd and MeZf satisfies the relation represented by 120 <= £MnaXb|+ {£CocYd|+£MeZf|/2}x0.8 <=250, and PO(OR)g satisfies the relation represented by 200 <= £PO(OR)g| <= 400, wherein unit is ppm.
