METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING NANOPARTICLE OF BARBITURIC ACID BY RECRYSTALLIZATION

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for manufacturing nanoparticles of barbituric acid by recrystallization, thereby high purity barbituric acid having a desired particle size. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing high purity nanoparticles of barbituric acid comprises the steps of: adding crude barbituric acid to a mixed solvent of 10-90 wt.% of distilled water and 10-90 wt.% of lower alcohol then dissolving it at 60-80 deg.C; and cooling the dissolved barbituric acid to 5-20 deg.C for 2-5 hours to give nanoparticles of barbituric acid having a particle size of 105-350 micrometers.
