PURPOSE:To efficiently and uniformly polish the curved face part of a nonmagnetic body by a rotary magnetic field oscillating means to oscillate a rotary magnetic field as the rotary axis of the rotary magnetic field is maintained in a state where it is oriented near the center of curvature of the curved face part. CONSTITUTION:A gas cylinder 1 is fixed to an attaching plate 2, and a rotary plate 7 having an attached magnet 8 is arranged opposite to the gas cylinder 1 at its closed end part 1a. The rotary plate 7 is fixed on an attaching base 5, and can be reciprocated through an oscillating belt 16 by a motor 17. Since the inside and outside of the closed end part 1a are spherical, a crossover line between the inside of the closed end part 1a and a vertical face is circular, and a cam groove 11 is formed in a concentric circular shape too. Thus, even when the attaching base 5, the motor 6 and the rotary plate 7 oscillate, the rotary axis of the rotary plate 7 always passes through the center of curvature of the inside of the closed end part 1a. The inside being a polished face of the closed end part 1a and a magnetic pole face are therefore always maintained at a fixed interval, and uniform polishing can thereby be carried out. |
