<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembly for intravenous injection (IV) and/or blood collection 10 including a safety shield which can easily be manufactured, operated and processed with one hand, but not interrupting usual procedures. <P>SOLUTION: The assembly for intravenous injection (IV) and/or blood collection 10 includes the safety shield 50 which is preferably used for a needle assembly equipped with impellers 20 and 22. The shield is anchored in the needle assembly equipped with the impellers and a rotation center axis so that the shield can be moved to the rotation center axis from a position apart from a needle 14 to a position that covers the needle and is fixed with the needle assembly with the impellers and the rotation center axis and is also fixed with the position that covers the used needle so that a user can avoid its contact with the used needle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
